The Artistic Vision
Born in communist Cuba, I emigrated to Miami at the age of 19, where I currently reside.
I am a self-taught contemporary artist and have been creating art for 22 years, although my artistic inclinations began in childhood. My work is abstract and is expressed through a variety of mediums, including oil, acrylic, and canvas. I also transform objects such as chairs and antique clocks, giving them a touch of pop culture.
A recurring theme throughout my artwork is flowers, especially imaginary flowers. I enjoy painting flowers that exist only in my imagination.
I am a self-taught painter. I paint from the innocence of a child who has not yet experienced life.
When people look at my paintings, I want them to feel whatever makes them feel identified with my artwork.
