Galo's paintings are collected by interior designers, private collectors, and homeowners furnishing luxury residences and commercial spaces — chosen when a room needs one strong piece to build the rest around.

Born in communist Cuba, I emigrated to Miami at the age of 19, where I currently reside.

I am a self-taught Miami artist and contemporary artist and have been creating art for 22 years, although my artistic inclinations began in childhood. My work is abstract and is expressed through a variety of mediums, including oil, acrylic, and canvas. I also transform objects such as chairs and antique clocks, giving them a touch of pop culture.

A recurring theme in my artwork is flowers — especially imaginary ones. I love painting flowers that exist only in my imagination. I paint with the innocence of a child who hasn't yet experienced life.

When people look at my paintings, I want them to interpret and feel the artwork in a way that feels identified with them.
